This is as simple as arranging the stones in any pattern or spacing that feels right to you and then adhering them with your glue of choice.
I chose a few different words for my mirror but you could use all of one word like “Love” to make a statement in a master bedroom or “Laugh” for a child’s room. Let your imagination run wild and have fun! ~Suzi
A few, simple supplies! Our mirror is from the dollar store, can you believe it?!
Add glue to each stone and press firmly!
Shazam! Adorable mirror – and it took less then 15 minutes!
Suzi needed an amazing gift to give as favors for a bridal shower she was hosting. This is what she came up with!!
Pack some punch the next time you need to make a gift for someone, these would work wonderfully for any occasion!
1. Pick some marble energy stones from CourageInStone.com – we have an amazing array of words – and don’t forget to include an organza bag. We picked words that we thought would appeal to the bride.
2. Purchase some wine glasses, these can be any plain wine glasses. We got ours at Dollar Tree for, say it with me now, ONE DOLLAR!
3. We ordered the sayings in vinyl from EADDesigns.com, but if you have a cricut you could cut them yourself. We had the vinyl cut in the same color as the bridesmaids dresses.
4. You’ll also need some tissue paper and curly ribbon in a complementary color, we chose silver to go with the shoe color of the bridesmaids.
Get Started: This is really so easy!
1. Rub the vinyl on your clean, dry wine glass, make sure to line it up well before you adhere it.
2. Add tissue paper in glass.
3. Put Marble Stone in Organza bag and place on top of tissue inside glass.
4. Add curling ribbon to bottom of glass.
That’s it!! You’re done!! The result is a beautiful gift for a party favor, dinner party or any occasion!!
P.S. from Suzi: We had fun creating these simple but elegant favors in the office. They were a huge hit at the bridal shower that I helped host Saturday evening! Cheers!
The thing about the beach is that it reminds us to appreciate the quiet, embrace our senses and do nothing more than absorb the space of time are in.
Somehow, being near the water makes everything else fade away, even if it’s only for the moment.
But – you knew there would be a ‘but’ didn’t you? – we can’t be at the beach everyday and so here’s a way to keep a little of the beach close to you at home, on your desk or give it as a gift to someone who needs a little pick me up.
Who doesn’t?
And here’s the other thing…
It’s Cheap and Easy to make!
I picked up the Glass Stones in sea glass colors from CourageInStone.com. I chose 2 each of the following words: Create, Imagine, Relax, Worry Less and Joy. These are 5 of my favorite words, by the way!
I poured some store-bought sand (or sand from your latest beach trip) into a jar, and added my pretty glass stones along with some Vinyl Stickers from EAD Designs (eaddesigns.com)! Voila!
Now, when the day is getting to me (not that it ever does, mind you, because my boss is AWESOME!), but if it ever did, I could shake up my jar and take a minute to imagine myself on the beach…
Sometimes I know people look at our rocks and probably say to themselves
“Those are really cool, but what do I DO with them?”
Well here’s one answer,
And, there will be many more on the way!
Our “Word of the Month” for August is “Giggle”.
Sunflowers make me giggle they are just so big, bright and well, HAPPY!!
Having some friends over for dinner, or your book club meeting, or just want to share some happiness at the office?
Here’s a hint, try this on a Monday when everyone is geared up to be grumpy.
Show up with your Sunflower Arrangement that you put in a watering can.
(super-cheap, plus functional after the flowers are gone)
Add some of our “Giggle” River Rocks to the base and let everyone know to take one home with them, or keep one for their desk.
It’s a tiny little gift that packs a big punch,
who doesn’t like receiving a little “Giggle”?
You can’t help but do exactly that when you look at one!
If you’re using this project for your home, then your friends and family get a wonderful reminder of what a wonderful time they had when they came to visit.
I’m thinking GREAT idea to get off on the right foot with the first PTA meeting of the year. People are much more likely to volunteer if you butter them up with something first!!
EASY PEASY!
You’ll be the most popular person in your office/book club meeting/dinner party!
